Personally I think this counts even more. Showing they are willing to retcon some of the more convoluted evolution methods of the past gives me hope. If nothing else the Eevee ones are fucking amazing.

Shiny, of course. Then you have Dawn and Dusk left over as well. Or those could even work for Espeon and Umbreon instead, since the Sun and Moon stones have so much already and those stones have little.

Hell, while we're at it, Rockruff has no reason not to evolve by stone as well.
