What's a good set for this thing? I managed to catch a Adamant HA G-Max one with a stroke of luck and now I seriously want to build a team around it. I'm assuming coil/fire lash/leech life/power whip is the standard, but what should I do for evs? Teammates, even? Any help is appreciated, I'm still new to comp.

if its comp youll want to get a regular dynamax one. wont be banned on ranked and its sadly better.

Anyways you've got it pretty much head on. I would slap weakness policy or life orb on him. Either try to swap him out into a fire move (doesn't seem to be alot of fire in the meta right now though), or you could even do a baton pass build for him. poltageist/ninjask to set it up. Poltageist can actually contribute to your teams offense though.

By comp I meant competitive in general not specifically the ranked ladder. Since it doesn't have flash fire, I figured it'd work better with it's g-max because it doesn't boost something it isn't immune to and the trapping part would let it screw over heavy walls or stall teams. Speaking of, should I run max hp and attack, or is there a better ev spread?

max hp and attack is what I run, but I guess if you do run a baton pass build he has alot of attack anyway, you could take some from that to pad up on defense a bit

- Fire Lash
- Power Whip
- Leech Life

This is pretty much the only good set, what makes centiskorch decent is how it can wallbreak with fire lash, and how nothing can freely switch into it without losing defense, getting lured and killed by coverage, healing it, or making them lose an item (big for corsula since he is immune to burns and knocks off eviolite).

There's coil sets out there, but I don't think anybody will actually let you setup coils and I doubt you'd sweep with base 65 speed anyway.

The item you can pretty much run anything on it, I pref assault vest with hazard control, but if you're not running hazard control boots lets it pivot into resist better. Assault vest lets match special attacks very well (if they bring in a rotom-W you can flat out win 1v1 with power whip thanks to assault vest and immunity to will-o-wisp.) Leftovers will help with longevity since its only recovery is leech life and wish teammates, while banded fire lash spam will make it literally destroy stall besides toxapex.

from what I recall people set up coil only on something that can't really threaten it like clefable, and it's the only way it can break certain walls.

It can wallbreak with fire lash just fine but I do like coil. If you've built the rest of your team right you won't miss either knock off or power whip that much.

I feel like coil works best with power whip since it fixes it's terrible accuracy so it won't suddenly whiff. Do you have any advice for good teammates? I'm probably gonna use Dracovish because, well, Dracovish, but what would be other strong helpers?

Tanks rock and water types, can either do one of or both: offer recovery with leech seed or slow a target with t-wave for centi. Centi can tank fighting and fire hits for ferro. Rotom-wash also fits well with centi since centi tanks grass moves, and rotom tanks ground and flying while volt switching centi in safely.

I feel knock off is super important for handling dragapult and even pex (if there’s a pex, coil is utterly useless since haze still goes through sub.), and powerwhip really goons any of its switch ins (rotom, quag, toad, etc.).

Coil sets still fall to anything special that outspeeds it, and there’s still physical mons that kill it despite the boost unless it gets behind a sub (Dracovish, excadrill, etc)

Coil might be better in lower tiers but I don’t think centi is even enough turns to successful pull off a coil set in OU or battle spot without getting hard punished on the setup turns or revenge killed.

If you do rest + sleep talk + coil + fire lash, anything flash fire completely nullifies you and pex is everywhere. Luckily no one runs misty terrain nowadays due to weezing being bleh.

Don't get me wrong, I'm an advocate of rest talk sets in general, when I feel like bullying children I use my rest talk psycho shift sigilyph set (or cresselia in previous games.). I think I even ran cosmic power just to make it more evil.
