No, I'm not looking for an exact repeat of my childhood, if I were, I would just go back and nuzlocke the old games. What I DO want is for them to stop assuming I just want to relive my childhood/the exact same game over and over again, and give me something legitimately new. Toss out this stupid, tired "8 gyms, bad guys, elite 4, champion, done" formula and just give me a legitimate RPG, but with Pokemon. Colosseum and XD delivered on this decades ago, I don't understand why game freak is so hesitant on it.

I literally just want Platinum again. A new region with new characters and new Pokemon, with some old Pokemon sprinkled in and enough content to warrant the price tag. 8 gyms 4 elite four members and a champion.

Platinum is still Sinnoh, actually nerfed what little difficulty Diamond/Pearl had, the Battle Frontier wasn't fun.

Nostalgia only affects those who think it does and to dubious debatable amounts.

Most of the games I love now I was 16+ when I played them. I was 25 when my third favorite game released for fuck sake.

I started playing merely 7 years ago, when I was 17. I played all games back to back, including XY that came a year after. I have no nostalgia whatsoever, I found some games to be great and others okay but boring, while some I did think were bad, but despite all that I can still tell newer games are absolute dogshit. It's not nostalgia making me dislike them, it's because older games were genuinely better.
