He didn't do anything noteworthy. He just adjusted the difficulty to the standarts that veterans of the series would prefer. GF can easily do that if they wanted, but they dont.

yeah it's simple but desu it's still pretty good, his hacks kinda help show how hard gamefreak holds back pokemon by never trying to deviate from the standard formula.
