I liked watching Indigo League but my favorite region is Sinnoh. Is the Sinnoh Series too much of a downgrade from the Indigo League?

I don’t remember much of the Sinnoh series from when I was a kid, but i remember the movies were really good. Darkrai is still the best one by far

Most of the Sinnoh episodes take place in a generic forest area and involve Ash and the gang helping a one-off character with something that doesn't progress the story.
I don't really like any of the Pokemon anime series but the Sinnoh series is the most tedious by far.

It has the most filler of all seasons iirc but skip that if you want and the main stuff isn't terrible.
Ash vs Paul at the league alone is possibly the best battle in the anime

Turtwig was really strong, then it evolved and wasn't as fast. Pretty sure I remember the episode it evolved Ash remarked that he couldn't rely on its speed anymore, which would imply that it would get some arc as he learned to change its battling style.
But he never did. Grotle/Torterra were just shit and lost constantly. Think it still has one of the lowest winrates of Ash's Pokemon to date
