What's with gen 4 and its big, round belly/faces? Is it a fetish? Did the art director in charge try to sneak in as many as he could? Did the team just use MS Paint's circle tool?

Why are so many of the Gen IV Pokémon blue/purple? I've started a reply of Platinum and literally all of my planned Pokémon are that colour.

Empoleon, Tangrowth, Lucario, Bronzong, Drapion, Drifblim, Gliscor btw.
