Rhydon is awesome. Back in the first season of the anime, they really made him out to be one bad motherfucker. Except for the whole “aim for the horn” thing, which was complete bullshit but funny in a stupid way.

Rhydon would be so good if it had access to an ability it could use. Honestly I think it would be better off getting Solid Rock rather than Head Smash. Gamefreak clearly doesn't want to give it any recoil moves. We might as well roll with it.
Solid Rock would be kino with Eviolite. Sooo kino.

Agreed. I think this could be easily done if a draw anon wanted to attempt. The bony armored plates are definitely better than the rhino/elephant hide look of Rhydon.
Something else that looks better? The ceratopsian-like frill. Definitely cooler than the horns+ears look of Rhydon.

While he's not particularly my favorite Pokemon I genuinely respect rhydon and it's design. It definitely has an aesthetic Pokemon no longer has these days, along with Nidoking. But I do agree with >>43893028 rhydon with rhyhorn's armour look would be fucking stellar. He'd be like another tyranitar tho
