I don't remember how it happened exactly (probably got it in that cave underneath the cycling road in Platinum) but Garchomp was my first and most memorable bro despite having played through Red and Sapphire previously. I remember reaching the E4 and having almost exactly the same team as Cynthia.
It's been one of my favorites since, but it's often difficult to justify using one in game given how strong it is. Once Gabite evolves, you barely even need other team members anymore since Garchomp just assrapes everything in its path.
