Well boys I finally did it, after 50+ hrs of in game play and sacrificing my cat to the RNG Gods I finally beat Pokemon Stadium 2 R2's cheating ass on the n64. Anyone else ever accomplish this? Almost positive this game really does cheat...

I did it awhile ago and it probably took 30 hours since I imported a team from red I had already. Werster did the entire game + round 2 in like 20 hours awhile ago so it is less that it cheats and more that it uses unfair strategies

Didn't wanna use Ho-Oh but after seeing that legendarys and ubers are used throughout Prime I said fuck it.. also wish umbreon had pursuit but hey it worked.

I agree, the only known cheap tactic is that the game doesn't pick their pokemon until after you pick yours. Has been proven with save states on emulators. Did you beat challenge cup? Only thing left and idk if I have the patience or luck for that.

Yep. It wasn't too terribly bad if you have an imported team. Fuck fucking rentals though. I did it as a kid but it took 2 years playing almost every week at least once

Honestly I've had a lot of fun. Training the team and then finally using it against all the stadium 2 bs was the first time in awhile I felt like I've accomplished something in pokemon in awhile. It's tough though, like seriously tough.

I’ll probably go for it, I recently played a full interconnected gen 3 experience with fire red, emerald and colosseum and it was incredibly fun. I’m here for the challenge honestly and I like gen 2 a lot more than 3

I prefer the music, simplicity and aesthetic of the original honestly. I do wish it had gym leader rematches and an better Kanto however.

Agreed, also I'm looking forward to gen 3 and coliseum. Gen 2 is still my favorite, I just really enjoyed the extras of heartgold. Good luck man

Also emulator will be totally less frustrating if you save state, I'd say go that way if you can make it happen. My n64 made losing absolutely demoralizing
