They stripped Pokemon of even the slightest hint of challenge

>ability changing capsules and nature changing mints
>a guy who will max out your IVs for cheap

>TWO daycares
>ability to use PC anywhere
>move deleter/reminder in EVERY FUCKING POKECENTER

The games have very much become geared toward online play with the story just meant to introduce new characters, Pokemon, and a slight semblance of plot to add to the anime, manga, and all the other Pokemon merch like the TCG etc.

I used a team of 21 pokemon in shield and found it challenging enough. I was routinely 4-8 levels behind wild pokemon and 5 or so behind trainers which made all my pokemon get destroyed by 1 or 2 hits.

It was annoying that I would go like 20 levels without having to use a Pokemon. They'd just sit in the back slots soaking up EXP without ever fighting.

all of those are great improvements, retard. The actual issue is Gamefreak didnt make the world worth exploring at all. Every route is a hallway with trainers lining it, theres 0 secrets or hidden areas to find with rare pokemon. Its all just open areas with everything visible.

So basically.... GF quite literally insert pkhex in the new games.
This is great if their business model isn't this scummy. I'd rather stick with Gen V and its romhacks, thanks.

Only good thing about Gen 8 is the online. I already got my fill tho. Playing against "Derp Derp Dynamax Weakness Policy Me Smash U" teams for the umpteenth time gets dull after a while.

For what its worth, some of the story aspects weren't so bad. How Hop actually did become something a pokemon professor could be refined into something better one day. But theres so much to actually fix in these games, and knowing whose running the ship, i doubt it will ever be fixed.
