Whenever I restart a Pokemon game my only fun is doing stuff that's canonically impossible.

Just restarted SwSh with a Zacian and Eternatus in my team.
It's funny how literally nobody in Galar says a thing about me starting my journey with the legendary Pokemon already by my side.
It was pretty funny to kill Rose with Eternatus and kill Zacian with Zacian.

Game Freak should program the NPC's to comment on things like this.

I evolved my starter early before seeing the profession to see if Hop would react, but he didn’t comment on anything.

If you evolved your starter before sandgem town Rowan will actually comment on it, saying it was clearly a good idea to trust you with that pokemon since it's already managed to evolve.

Just another reason why Rowan is the best professor in the series.

Hop actually has some hidden dialogue too in some of his fights. Most of it you'll never see unlike the "WOW YOU KNOW TYPE ADVANTAGES YOU'RE SO COOL ANON" or "WHOA A CRITICAL HIT WHAT SKILL PLAYERNAME", but Hop has a lot of lines for other situations including having dialogue for the rare, rare occurrence that the player somehow manages to actually lose to him.

His second battle even has four possible end-battle quotes depending on the number of times you've lost to or beaten him, with four possible choices even though most people will only ever see one (because, you know, he's piss fucking easy to beat). Hop also has multiple dialogue in the route-catching scene (unlike say X/Y where Trevor is scripted to always lose to you even if you catch fucking nothing) and will even comment on shit like the player getting him to using a Move that has no effect on what he's fighting. He's like, the ONLY part of the game where it feels like someone actually had effort invested into it, even though the vast majority of people will never see it.

It's a shame that Hop is the worst part of the game and such an obnoxious fucking character. All that effort and it's wasted on a piece of shit who constantly bitched and moans then gives up on his dreams immediately after receiving a legendary.
