>>46945617Worse. That battle worked because of the single player format. Getting your entire team unexpectedly nuked several times over and over until you find a strategy that works and/or just cheese it, is peak JRPG boss battles and why it was such a satisfying fight.
If it was a Max Raid, you’d constantly be fucked by players making the wrong or stupid moves or Dynamaxing only to get destroyed in one hit. It’s why the Mewtwo and Zeraora ones were cool in concept but sucked in execution. And anyone who played with AI would experience true hell.
