The game is instanced, not open world. You choose an area on the map and are teleported to it. You don't walk between zones. The world map itself doesn't matter.

Its definitely possible based on what we saw today but that might just be an optional fast-travel thing? I'm trying to hold out hope but it really does look more instanced than open world now.

Thanks. Yeah I doubt TPCi would go and confirm its Open World, unless they have a very unique definition of open-world which I doubt since I was throwing shade on their understanding of ATB from that leak and we basically have ATB in the FFX style.

There's a difference between saying the areas in PLA are open world and saying the game is open world, and i doubt (hopefully) Nintendo and TPCi would be retarded enough to advertise the game as open world and have it be instanced.

Eight. You didn't see the volcano in the world map that's covered by a cloud at the top right? Also there's probably something under the cloud where Canalave would be, perhaps connecting to Fullmoon also under a cloud as well.
