I hate that they gave the Starters' base forms new artwork but nothing else. FRLG updated the Kanto Dex to match the RSE style, and HGSS updated the Johto Dex to the DPPt style. ORAS should've updated the Hoenn Dex to the XY style, and LGPE should've updated the Kanto Dex to the SMUSUM style.

Wouldn't mind repeating Incineroar's typing again since it actually fits that theme, but ONLY once more. 3 times is too much, and at the very least outlaw snek doesn't follow gens directly afterwards like the other offenders did.

I never had an issue. I like all 3 of them. It's a very solid typing on a casual playthrough. Anybody who has an autistic fit over them should be euthanized. Who's the snake though?

Blaziken is one of my top favorite starters along with Charizard and Incineroar
Infernape is just ok
Emboar is the worst starter in the franchise and you can tell they ran out of ideas

Not really. It's just that someone over at Game Freak really liked journey to the west so much that they wanted to base 2 starters off of the characters.

Emboar isn't based on journey of the west though. They were just so devoid of creativity they copied Infernape's design traits for no reason.

It is. Ken Sugimori literally stated that the idea behind Emboar was to give him chinese themes to it's design. Journey to the West is a chinese novel. Put two and two together

Blaziken was just bad Infernape in Gen 4
then their bright idea to set Blaziken apart in Gen 5 was to buff it so Infernape was just bad Blaziken
