If you only played BDSP you'll immediately assume the entirety of Gen 4 is hot garbage. Which is correct, apart from Platinum.
Platinum fixed everything that made DiaPer a pile of steaming shit and is one of the best Pokemon games. BDSP, for some reason, only ported over the minor elements of what made Platinum better, and also ported over the shittiest and most redundant nuPokemon features which, unfortunately, makes it hot garbage. Easy hot garbage at that, it's even easier than Let's Go Eevee. Just play Platinum.

Grand underground has some nice looking set pieces. It totally fucks the game though, having access to strong nat-dex pokemon early in an already piss-easy game just takes all fun out of the story.

I'm not familiar with emulation but I use DeSmuME and it works fine for me. I can't vouch for how good it is compared to other DS emulators though.

Its not weird, clicking is fine for the touch controls. I've used no$ for a long time but now I just play the older games since gen 4 is pretty bad and I own the DS games anyway
