Origins was dogshit, they dumped all the budget into the first and final episodes and the rest of the series, like Lavender Town episode, was embarrassingly bad to look at.
The best the anime has ever looked on a consistent level was SM/JN, everything else is either edgy shit trying to appeal to normalfags (Generations, Twilight Wings) or garbage (XY).
If we're only talking about specials though, the Pokemon cartoon OVAs like the girl transformed into gengar or the girl with the nidoran were S tier.
