Unova was New York city, not even the whole of New York
Kalos was Paris, not France
But now they've moved to an entire country being a single region and that's just silly
France and spain are comparably sized but the entire land mass of Spain counts as a region
Going by the way it was traditionally broken up they could easily fit 4 regions in a place the size of Spain
