Am I just stupid? I don’t understand the design purpose of the one differently colored tuft of feathers. It just looks bad. Don’t get me wrong I normally like asymmetry in designs but I really just don’t get what it’s trying to do.

Basically there are loads of fake fans of gen 2 and they sometimes redesign our Pokémon to pander to them. This redesign of misdreavus is an abomination and I wish they’d just leave our designs alone

I’m pretty sure it’s meant to be the ‘tail’ design that all of the Past Paradox Pokémon feature. Since it’s a ‘ghost’ it doesn’t have a proper body, so they turned one of the tufts a different color, and made it ‘scaly’ to denote this.

Misdreavus is a Ghost type
>Add lizard eyes and fanged teeth
>Add draconic spikes and scales
>Feathered and compared to Pterosaurs
>Flutter Mane is Ghost Fairy

It not being Ghost Dragon makes it the worst in concept and execution

like a real sea star, starmie regrows lost limbs. That band's supposed to indicate a limb that grew back imperfectly, like how a lizard's regrown tail is often discolored compared to the original.

Misdreavus fits the bill more than Mismagius. It's a mischievious trickster that feeds on fear.

For Mismagius, Psychic is a better fit because it's a magician.
