Fire, Normal, Flying, Poison, Electric, Steel are all too specific to be put into one of these, the only one that would fit anything else is Steel with Earth but it's too different to rocks and dirt.

These are the only "elemental" attacks that make sense:

NORMAL - fighting, dark, bird, PSN
Acid
Wind
Hot
Cold
Gravity
Mental
Electricity
Rock
Light
Sound

+everything else can be an ability or attack with a secondary effect.

Then you have the body types :

Beast
Bug
Plant
Dragon
Fairy
Spirit
Robot

like Yu-Gi-Oh sort of

No, Rock is just a type of attack, you can't slap it as a typing for a species.

There needs to be a term for silicon lifeforms, but not Golem, since those are magical
