Meditate should have raised Atk and SpD from the beginning.
This would have helped Medicham and Machamp be more viable in Gen III.

I can kind of see it. I suppose it makes more sense than Atk and SpA.
That also would have allowed more mons to be viable.

Speaking of DD, I hate how they skipped a special variant and went straight for the OP Quiver Dance.
I get most of the users are shitmons, but Volcarona certainly didn't need the spd boost on top of that.

Nta; I agree with what you're saying, but I think Anon's point was that Volcarona bucked the trend of bug-types being "underpowered", so giving it a powerful move that was much more balanced on other bug-types took it too far.

Close Combat didn't ruin the game. They already made Superpower more available at the same time. Close Combat's power and availability didn't have a negative impact upon release.

Outrage buff did significantly change the game, but not necessarily for the worse. Outrage + Draco Meteor was a good thing, as it fixed a longstanding issue in Pokemon of offense not being strong enough. However, at the time, these were arguably not properly offset by defensive counterplay.
