personally, i think every attempt at custom designs from them are complete trash and they shouldve gotten a better artists if they were gonna try so hard to be a good game, but mechanically its got a lot of really good stuff going on and i love the effort they put in to genuinely try and make a bunch of pokemon have more unique mechanical identities and it feels like you can really play how you want.
