The game runs at 30fps while using a 60fps engine, it is quite literally running at half speed at all time. That's the laggiest shit you can come up with.

The only instances of lag in gen 1 are when you exploit glitches such as when MissingNo appears or some items with unterminated names show up. Otherwise there is zero lag in the game, as was the case with every game boy game.

Lucky you. I tried to take a selfie with a Gimmighoul by a wheelbarrow by Katy's city, then overlooking a cliff. The game just flipped out then my character fell through the world and it crashed. Maybe they've patched out some kinks tho
