Themes of illumination (i.e. bioluminescence), holiness and the sun could be easily integrated into a new Light type, just like Fairy had done. Cosmic, again, pertains specifically to pokemon with spacial abilities or origins. Psychic's existing association with the cosmos is tenebrous in justification at best, thus the purpose of Cosmic in realigning Psychic's concept.
Blood covers pokemon that are especially visceral or predatory in their behaviour, use sharp lacerating weapons (such as scythes), or that siphon the lifeforce from their opponents. Pokemon like Weavile and Gorebyss could be easily retyped to Blood.
