Who actually does a Nuzlocke? Pokemon is already one of the hardest games I've played, and I've played a lot of games.

first of all, there are no "normal" pokemon players, they are all autistic.
secondly, the casual players are never underleveled because they pretty much fight the entire game (except perhaps the elite 4/ post-game) with their starter and whatever favorite shitmon that deals with what their starter is weak to.

this is true to an extent, but it says more about the people who play nuzlockes than the essense of nuzlockes themselves. the people doing that are constantly playing nuzlockes and often playing difficulty hacks.
I do a nuzlocke every couple of years as a novelty and don't minmax it, and it's a pretty fun and challenging experience.
