yes too but they just decided to forget about all of this and leave it barebones. Another thing that happened 3000 years ago was the twin heroes conflict in Unova.

Also "3000" can mean as well 2995 or 3005, most normal people talk in round numbers. Maybe the ancient weapon triggered the Primal rampage and/or Eternatus' disruption, we'll never know because they aren't arsed to connect the lores

the meta reason is that someone in GameFreak is probably obsessed with the number 3000
