Also, so what if it’s not good at competitive? Or even not as good as other Pokémon in single player? Not every Pokémon is meant to be good at Pokémon Battles and not every Pokémon would be able to anyway. One of the things about Pokémon that makes it special is that the Pokémon main games can be beaten using any Pokémon available in them.
Compare that to other monster franchises where some creatures are so weak they’re outright impossible to use, or only opponents, or they exist only as NPCs or background filler. In Pokémon, every Pokémon has basic usability. It makes Pokémon special as a series.
