The real answer? Setting even moderately high expectations with [game from over 10 years ago (your choice)]. They still haven't lived things like "The Battle Frontier" or "Not treating you like a preschooler once in a while" down. Hell, they only recently brought back things people had been wanting for years, like following pokemon... sorta.
