The real answer is that after about 30, if they haven't turned into demon spawn from hell, they usually chill the fuck out and realize that Chad isn't all he's cracked up to be, so they're willing to give inexperienced, less confident men a chance to prove themselves to her, minus a lot of the bullshit that younger women will intentionally throw in your way to drive you insane.
When you combine this with unexpressed maternal feelings usually being transferred onto a younger man, it usually leads to this odd sexual charge of riding you until you physically can't coom more, then getting petted like she's a surrogate mother of sorts. Usually followed up with some loving instruction on things she's picked up about relationships up to this point. Least, this was my experience in dating a woman in her mid 30s when I wasn't even old enough to drink. YMMV
