In the end I suppose the genuine overall sense of positivity towards supporting ones oshi was always a byproduct of Hololive riding out from behind Nijisanji fueled partially by the comparatively absurd SC revenue Hololive was generating even when Nijinwas still dominant in nearly every other metric. Hololive fans clung to SC as their way of showing Holos strength, and when Holo overtook Niji in everything else, the community still held onto that pre-built respect for genuine support for antime.
