Even if there are Japanese internet users becoming aware of recent trends in Western culture, I don't think Japan is up to date on how much more vocal different groups have become, thus explaining how "trannychama", "programmer socks", "autist", and "retard" do not set her alarms off.
In the zatsu where "programmer socks" were mentioned, she dismissed everybody's concern because she did not see anything potentially touchy in the explanation of the term.
I'm pretty sure she's picked certain terms from 4chan or directly from dads, like "namefag." If you google an explanation of the term, there's no BIG RED BOLD LETTERS telling you it's still out of question because of the suffix.
This is just my honest theory, not trying to invite discussion of politics more than is necessary.
