She felt she didn’t measure up to the others and had a very bad case of imposter syndrome. She hated the back-end corporate issues that hampered some of her ideas. She let the not measuring up get to her, to the point she would drop games she’d find interesting to meet numbers instead of realizing how much people did love her content even if it was niche. She also lived through a lot of harassment that made her anxious a lot, like always feeling the need to disclaimer stuff… There’s a lot of stuff that adds up to contributing to her poor mental state and she coped a lot with drinking and couldn’t see that she was loved by the livers and had some very dedicated fans, and that she did inspire a lot of people to try harder. You know how Alban’s been a big part of our fun lately with the big collabs? Remember how in his talk with Mom, he said he needed to be in touch with his more extroverted side knowing she wouldn’t be there? That’s just one great example of the impact she didn’t realize she had… Because it’s hard to see your self-worth when you’re mentally stuck comparing yourself to others all the time. She’s a treasure that didn’t know how brilliantly she shined.
