Spooked catto, after stream talk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_nNd4Qp72YAfter her stream, catwife talked about her Holonalds collab planned a few hours later and said a few interesting about her life before Hololive.
If you didn't know, Okayu worked in tons of various jobs before.
She most notably in a:
>Sweet shop>Konbini>Factory>Reception desk>Call center>Awful bossHer time working in a call center was definitely the most mentally exhausting work she ever did, she got yelled at by her boss all the time nearly every single day, sometimes even in the middle of a call. Okayu was absolutely terrified of him, she eventually wanted to quit her job but her boss wouldn't even let her leave.
She felt absolutely miserable, and decided to see a doctor for a mental health check up, the doctor quickly realized that something was very wrong and wrote what Okayu called a "Magic piece of paper".
If her boss refused to let her leave on time or take a break, say for lunch for example (yeah he wouldn't even let her have lunch sometimes), she could just show him that paper and force him to let her go: Doctor's orders.
Okayu couldn't believe her eyes, when she gave him that paper, her boss' face went pale and he immediately calmed down. Doctors are scary, you don't mess with doctors.
It was a difficult period of her life and she was very depressed at the time, which is why she's even more thankful to Hololive now, the incredibly kind managers helping her everyday, her friends all around her and her onigriyas.
Her life, which was very lonely and depressing then, is now filled to the brim with happiness.
>Going through bad times to appreciate good times more?Even if things are getting difficult, nothing is comparable to what she went through before.
She then wonders for a bit if going through that kind of hardship when you're young is a good thing, as it might make you appreciate better times a bit more... the answer is most likely "No" for her.
Sure, now that her life is good she is indeed appreciating it more, but she'd rather not have anyone go through that kind of stuff.
Everyone's pain is different, and everyone is handling pain differently.
This experience is part of why she wants to do her best every day to make (You) and everyone around her happy, so she can make this world a slightly happier place, even if it's by a really tiny bit.
