I'm sure people would mind it less if it was something more momentous or occasional, something to make them go "Wow, finally this gets to happen!" It just feels undeserved. Forgive the /co/ analogy but it's akin to Squirrel Girl joining a top-tier Avengers line up. They get to do this just by being a novelty/meme as opposed to earning it through real arcs and effort, narratively speaking. Even if you treat induction into Holopro as the reward, it runs counterpart to the journey these productions try to sell. There's zero build up.
