I was secretly hoping she’d play the Final Fantasy Tactics remake, but thinking about how the dialogue has been changed, I’m starting to hesitate. Since the original was a game so highly praised for its story, those changes really raise the chances of it turning into a bad remake.
Personally, I really want to see a Holomem take on games like Disco Elysium, recent Atlus RPGs, and titles from 11 bit studios (which she’s also played)... games that are full of politics, morality, ethics, current events, and satire, and also give you space to share your own thoughts as you play. I think those kinds of thought-provoking games are best done as long-form streams with multiple archives.
It’d also be great to mix in more introspective, solo-thinking games like BioShock between those titles.
I really hope ZERO PARADES turns out to be something special too.
