>>6905439>Do Hunter games typically have that home base you return to after every mission?Oftentimes yes. Not necessarily one populated with NPCs. Sometimes they're just where you stash your weapons and gear. Hunters are just regular people roped into supernatural things, so having a place where they feel safe is generally a priority.
>Was the mission selection a bait and switch or will they get around to it eventually?I wouldn't be surprised if they were always going to end up where they did. If you've never played a TTRPG before, these kinds of things are extremely common. Like, you might get a quest to go kill the Ogre of the Cave or the Dragon of the Tower. No matter which you pick, you'll be traveling through a mountain pass infested with goblins and a swamp with either the cave at the end or the tower.
>Did the vehicle run away all by itself?Maybe. Maybe it got towed by some scavengers, maybe the sniper grabbed it to lure them, maybe it was something else entirely. (Pic probably not related because I don't think Calli has read the book, but it's just an example of many different things that can happen.)
>Who was the sniper?Possibly an arcadian huntsman? They usually are hunting down changelings, but maybe this one is going after fresh playthings. This isn't really the M.O. of fae, but who knows? We don't have much information to go off just yet.
>Do the hedges in the Hedge always look like random shit like junkyard piles at first? Not really. Fae don't generally like iron of any kind, so they probably wouldn't head to a junkyard very often.
>Will the bum ever get his cart back or was returning it just another promise Amelia won't fulfill? This is the kind of thing that turns into a brick joke in the last five minutes of the final session. The Quest to Return the Cart!
