Some fellated enough people to get triple digits for their debut, but once they actually start streaming they can't even hit double digits because in the end you're trying to make people spend their most valuable resource on you, their time. Boosting is a joke.
Common etiquette is to focus on the person/people you're collabing with and some CAN NOT STOP TALKING TO THEIR CHAT. You're supposed to be working off each other, not make your partner a third wheel with your own chat.
The community is so saturated that you're gonna have to do something unique to get yourself out of the shit pile, and the best option is exclude yourself from videos you're making of a certain subject. No one knows who you are, no one cares who you are at the start. If you make content of something and then show yourself, people know you as the "guy who makes content of the subject I like."
Honestly I think I'm pretty boring and I'm much better at shitposting than vtubing but I still have people supporting me.
