If you think a vtuber is merely a human with an avatar, kindly go fuck off to ironic vtubers like Pokimane or Pewdiepie or twich thots with an avatar. This is like thinking wearing a uniform makes you a soldier.
A vtuber's strongest appeal is that she is an anime character. The most popular girls like Pekora or Miko did not get there with just an avatar. They find their own unique characters and then stick to them. And of course they have their own human side, like how every soldier is also a human, which makes them fascinating. But they must also do their main jobs well. I can see anime characters acting just like Pekora or Miko. I can not see any anime characters acting like the ironic vtubers who have no passion or understanding of the culture but just want to get on the popularity bandwagon.
