By broadening /meat/ into /freak/, we've given ourselves a more stable and more active home by being welcoming to other weird anons and aspies who don't have a stable home of their own. And while most of them might not be like us, when you're as fringe as we are, having people who will accept us and want to be around us is just as important as having people exactly like us.
I worry that /meat/ might not only come off as exclusive to those newer weirdanons, but it might also inspire the more purist oldfags to gatekeep in an attempt to get back to the old days.
But we'll never get back to those days. Ryona content will always be a short term endeavour, and seeing what happened to Comma and Gomi, as well as all the others who had their channels nuked for having even mild ryona asmr content like Minori, I can't imagine anyone will want to become a vtuber who perfectly fits the definition of /meat/ anymore. It's just not worth the effort.
Sorry for the rant. If you guys want a /meat/ thread for the memories that's fine, but I think it would be best to stick to /freak/ from now on, or at least add something to the OP that makes weirdchuubas welcome, since I'd hate to loose the new friends we've made over nostalgia. Feel free to disagree though, those are just my thoughts.
