>>28156253>Did the Vshojo branding kill her career? While this might seem like the easiest answer, in my opinion you have cause and effect reversed. Vshojo didn't kill her career; Her career's downward trend is why she has turned to Vshojo. It's a desperate hail mary after she's slowly been falling out of relevance for months. That might sound cruel, but hear me out.
Tons of people followed her after she graduated Hololive, but many of them eventually stopped watching her. Not because "she's Not Hololive so people must hate her", as the SJWs from twitter keep proclaiming. No. People idolized Coco for the creation of EN, and the fact that she martyred herself to fight against the chink menace was revered. That reverence extended to her even after she graduated. Cover even made it clear she was free to return if she wanted. So any claims of her not being part of "the network" are nonsensical in the first place. Her decline was simply because viewers realized her content wasn't actually that entertaining on its own. Her humor only funny because it was so different than what people expected from an "Idol Company". Humor thrives under the defiance of people's expectations. If you know what a joke's punchline is, it isn't funny is it? Once she was an independent people didn't have those seiso expectations and her crass humor fell flat. It didn't help that she continued doing basically the same shit she already did with some added gunpla building. There are only so many Ark streams a man can stomach. Her content grew stale so people stopped watching. There is no big conspiracy or hate crime here. She just isn't very entertaining, so she's looking for a new audience that might think differently.
