If so, what do you think would be stopping them from simply making a probe that is habitable like the ISS?
I get that the moon landing still feels so absurd because it’s the only time humans actually landed on another celestial body and it wasn’t done since 1972 again. But if you look at the reasons for it, the soviet union didn’t think being second would be worth the effort and America had extensively proven to reliably get up there and not just by chance with 6 successful missions. And outside of the cold war space race there just was no real incentive to go back up there but I guess now that they’re feeling the heat from all these private companies wanting to get to space as well they want to prove that they’re still in a league of their own. But if spacex actually manages to make starship work as intended nasa will be btfo as well.
Anyway I just see two lines of thought here, either you don’t believe in space travel at all and think it’s all a hoax or you do, I don’t see a reason why the moon landing should be faker than cassinis mission to saturn.
