I'd go with a mecha pilot who sits in their cockpit which has been converted into a streaming set up because the bad guys have been defeated.

Focus on /m/ related games / anime / maybe even hobby aspects like Gunpla.

Yes, "If". It's easier to talk about what one would do in a situation where he has complete free reign, enough available cash for whatever design he wants, and enough talent and free time to actually hold an audience's attention, presumably until he could sustain himself primarily on donations.

Only other problem is that I'm not spending $600 or more on rigging a custom character and getting the motion sensor shit they probably have to wear

Guess I'd go for a sort of "Well-to-do Bedouin caravanner" appearance. A camel companion, a Sahelian background image, maybe a rug, and some other things.
I'd stick with history-themed games, simulators, and games with a focus on economics or commerce.

2D requires nothing but a decent webcam aside from the pricey model, but is more pricey. Same goes for 3D with a vroid (vroid is shit but its easily accessible) with the option of having hands via a leap motion which really just weighs as much as an old USB Drive and is on a mount you wear around your neck, which is also very light.

Since I play alot of gundam operation 2 I'd be a mecha pilot, nothing special, mostly with a helmet (saves on rigging a face) on with the odd eye flash when I open my eyes and play with lore suggestion I'm some sort of robot underneath or something, not that I'll plug it too often

My character would just be my irl self which may not be all that interesting

Being a self aware autist is a problem and I'm not great for conversation, but basically I'd play as one of those try hard grunts types that die hilariously in anime, you know, the ones you want to see die because they talk shit but are actually shit?

If I can ditch the doubting part of myself and expand my range to single player games (which I play but I'm shit at commentary towards npc interactions for some reason) I might do this just for fun, if anyone takes this idea and actually goes somewhere with it I'd sub

As far as content goes, aside from cello repertoire I think I'd like streaming Paradox grand strategy games. Actually, that might be what I'd prioritize.

I don't really know. I'm pretty soft-spoken normally. Though in private I'm a lot louder.
I might like to chat about history, linguistics and other subjects, though I'm not an expert on any of those things.

Would, but the market for that content is extremely small.

It doesn't necessarily need to be real, but adding a sort of premise to your content will make the first few months easier. Even if you drop it later, you'll have a status quo to fall back on by then. Can be a simple, two-sentence thing.

For a premise, part of me wants to be ambitious and say "a time traveler from the Victorian/Edwardian era" (a time period I happen to know a fair bit about). Unfortunately I think I'd be too autistic about my inevitable failure at being perfectly historically accurate for that sort of thing.

It all works (somewhat). The point is to have something the audience can grab onto when you're new. It helps them remember you better, and you can frame your interactions around that bit of make-believe on the side.

I'm still trying to develop it. I want a character that naturally matches my voice and personality, mostly because I'm too lazy to maintain a separate persona every stream. I'm an upper class British guy with an RP accent, primarily interested in RPGs and FPS. The accent will get me pigeonholed as a sophisticate anyway, so maybe I should embrace that in the design?
