>>8855758>Lots of people watch reality tv or GOTs or anime. Yea, as I already said.
>If you feel like passively consuming. Then there is a wide variety of liveshows, animation and recorded stuff with way more effort put into it.So tell me, why are you here?
Why does anyone watch streamers in the first place?
Companionship would be one of the top reasons if people were honest with themselves.
Friend experience or girlfriend experience. Its all the same pathetic escapism.
I make no distinction regarding patheticness between "entertainment"fags and "idolfags, albeit the idolfag holds the streamer to a higher standard, which I can respect. And just describing idolfags as girlfriend-seekers is as surface-level as it gets and factually not remotely correct.
Sure that plays a part, but Idolfags generally want to follow a storyline of triumph and tragedy, deceit and glory.
They want to follow their chosen girl, see her grow and want to support her on this road through the good, the bad and the ugly. It's unironically a bit like wrestling or idolizing a soccerplayer.
Hololive combines this with the closeness and parasociality of streaming, which makes for a potent poison.
