VTubing is still very new, considering it's a lot of young people doing it I don't expect them to do it for too long, but among them there are people that have done it for quite a while already.
Now why would there be any reason to leave the specific company? Tons of reasons for that, and it varies from company to company and talent to talent, there are people working in Hololive specifically that only know how to do VTubing and can't go anywhere or do anything else (Sora for example).
Mumei specifically already was studying and also has her voice getting fucked up so it makes sense for her outside of whatever the fuck is going on back there behind COVER's curtain.
Anyway just give people time to mourn, this is nothing new or unexpected but it doesn't mean people can't be sad about it, there's another whole month of Moom so just enjoy.
