There are lots of little line problems, but nothing that stands out enough to make me believe that it's a lost cause. I think you'll get the hang of it.
Just look over the image and look for kinks and unnaturally sharp angles and weird shapes, and try to smooth them out. I've marked some of the ones I thought were especially awkward. For precise adjustments, use the handles on the nodes instead of trying to move the shapes themselves. If you have to, in order to get part of a shape to stay where you want it while you move another part, add some more nodes, but be aware that each one you add is another thing that you need to make sure is smooth, or else you're just adding another kink. And don't forget to go back over everything around anything you move and make sure to find and fix any bleeds or gaps.
All in all, pretty impressive though.
