If you're serious, start applying for jobs in seattle or wherever, having a degree and work experience will help. You'll probably have to start at the bottom of the totem pole again if you change career paths, but it sounds like you're still at the bottom anyway. Like the other anon said, the grass is always greener on the other side, but I can tell you from experience, sometimes when you get over there, you wonder why you stayed on the wrong side of the fence for so long.
