I get the feeling that /wg/ has a lot of users who are totally new to the site, or have used /b/ or something and are starting to branch out. It's one of those friendlier, non-judgy boards, mostly because It is so image-centric.
I have gone through phases, I started on /b/ like everyone else, probably about 4 years ago, then I went to /v/, then /mu/, then I had a stint on /fa/ and /fit/, now I mostly hang out here and on /tg/, sometimes moving over to other boards for a few hours just to check it out. I think I have used every board, but my home board is definitely /tg/. It is crazy, after you really start using 4chan you start noticing different cultures on every board, here we have the birthday threads and the really open attitude to everything, /mu/ has the elitism and k-pop threads, /tg/ is kind of self deprecating but generally open and it has an old community, /fit/ and /fa/ have totally different board cultures and /v/ and /b/ are a mixed bag. This board and the porn boards are kind of open to the rest of 4chan I think, everyone has there home board and comes to visit every once in a while. I like this board a lot, it's an oasis of acceptance in the desert of 4chan.
