But I didn't bother about the aspect ratio, I just bought the cheapest 22'' monitor with good display. I don't need any more vertical space, but I'm also sitting relativly near to the screen.
I would recommend to sit with the same distance at your local electronic shop as you'll sit at home in front of your screen and test both aspect ratios.
