I'm having a lonely 29th birthday today. It's usually warm by now, but instead it's snowing, as if the weather reflects the feeling in my soul. Over the years everything I love seems to have evaporated. I dread thinking of turning 30. I plan to get drunk and cook an entire orange duck to myself.
