What are some good, short anime series? Like 12 episode long ones. Burnt out of watching 100+ episode long series.

nearly all quality anime is under 26 episodes.
OVAs that keep it short and sweet and blow their animation budgets are the best.
Try Gunbuster (an early Gainax show, 6 eps)
