I'm sorry, I still can't do these damned resistors. I'm making a mistake somewhere but don't know what it is.
Three resistors having resistances of 2.00 ohms, 3.00 ohms, and 4.00 ohms are connected in a series to a 24.0 V battery that has negligible internal resistance. Find a) the equivalent resistance of the combination; b) the current in each resistor; c) the total current through th battery; d) the voltage across each resistor; e) the power dissipated in each resistor.
Answers are given as multiple choice and none of mine show up.
For a) I got 9 ohms (ok, that's on there)
b)
I = 1.3333333 A
V1 = 2.6666666 V
V2 = 4 V
V3 = 5.33333333 V
But all of those are wrong. None show up on the answer sheet. I can't go on to c, d, or e until I figure out what I suck at.
